Message to our patients

With heavy hearts we are announcing the death of our beloved Dr. Harold Nord, who went to be with his Lord on June 8, 2018. Our office will continue “Ministering the Love of Christ through Healthcare”, as Dr. Rachel Dalton, a long-standing partner and colleague of Dr. Harold, will assume his patient caregiving. Dr. Dalton, our Nurse Practitioners and staff would consider it an honor to continue your care.

Rachel M.H. Dalton, D.O.

Dr. Rachel Dalton is a central Illinois native, who is returning to the area to begin her OB-GYN practice in Bloomington/Normal. Her special interests include adolescent gynecology, fitness and nutrition and genetic risk assessment for gynecologic cancer. Dr. Dalton, her husband and 3 young children are excited to join the Bloomington/Normal community. Dr. Dalton became Board Certified in 2012.

Dr. Dalton provides inpatient care at both Advocate BroMenn Medical Center in Normal, IL and OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington, IL.

Angela: M.S.N., A.P.N., W.H.N.P.

Angie has been practicing as a nurse practitioner since 2008 She began her career with Harold A. Nord, OB-GYN, S.C., where she practiced for six years. She then moved with her family on an adventure to Dallas TX where she practiced in private OB/GYN offices. In 2018, God called her back to our practice. She is thrilled to return to our office and her hometown with her husband Dan, two children, and three puppies. She received her Bachelor of Science in nursing at Illinois Wesleyan University. She obtained her Master of Science at University of Illinois at Chicago. She is certified as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner by the National Certification Corporation. She is a member of the Association of Women’s Health Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses. Angie has a passion for providing compassionate and thorough care for her patients. She serves in this office to provide prenatal care, gynecologic care, contraceptive management, menopause treatment and annual exams. She has expertise in adolescent health care, breast health, and preventative care. Angie treasures time with her family. She is an active member of Eastview Christian Church. In her free moments she loves Bible study, crafting and furniture remodeling. She considers it an honor to help women achieve their best physical, emotional and spiritual health.

Genny: M.S.N., A.P.N., C.N.P.

Genny joined Harold A. Nord, OB-GYN, S.C. in June of 2007. She and her husband, Jim live in Heyworth, IL with their children. Genny received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing at Mennonite College of Nursing at Illinois State University. She is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Genny provides individualized care for women with varying health care needs. She places great importance on prevention, wellness, and patient education. She has an interest in care of women in the menopausal stage of life. She is a member of the North American Menopause Society. She is available for speaking engagements. Genny’s personal interests include reading and enjoying outdoor activities with her husband, daughter and son.

Abby: M.S.N., A.P.N., W.H.N.P.-B.C.

Abby joined Harold A. Nord, OB-GYN, S.C. in October 2015 as a Nurse Practitioner. She and her husband Daniel live in Bloomington with their children. She graduated with her Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing from Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois. She then went on to receive her Masters of Science degree in Nursing from University of Illinois at Chicago. She is a board certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner through the National Certification Corporation. She has a passion for health prevention and patient education. Abby enjoys spending time with her family, whether it be a game or movie night inside or campfires and enjoying the outdoors, with her husband, two sons and a daughter.

Rachel: M.S., A.P.N., F.N.P.-B.C.

Rachel joined Harold A. Nord, OB-GYN, S.C. in May of 2018 as a family nurse practitioner. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Millikin University and her Master of Science from Northern Illinois University. She is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center since 2011 and brings over 12 years of various nursing experience to the office. She desires to participate with each patient to create a working plan toward health promotion and disease prevention utilizing patient involvement and education. She and her husband, Zach, reside in Bloomington with their four young children. Her free time is usually spent outside playing, watching a sporting event, inside with her family, or curled up with a good book.
